| Winnie the Pooh was born when the son of British author A.A. Milne, renamed his teddy bear "Winnie" after a bear by the same name in the London zoo. Drawing inspiration from his son, Milne published his first story in 1926 complete with illustrations by E.H. Shepard. Royal Doulton proudly honors Milne's original stories and illustrations with its series of "Classic Pooh" figures. |
